Interfaith Wedding - Email from Mother of the Bride
Hello Cantor Stein -
Keith and I can’t thank you enough for creating and officiating at the most perfect wedding ceremony we could have imagined - although we never doubted that it would be wonderful. With your eloquence and kind words you gave voice to Sara’s and Jon’s love for each other and captured their diverse backgrounds and experiences. And you centered the Jewish traditions that are so important to Sara. We hope you’ll be part of other Pattiz family simchot in the future.
One more thing . . . our guests adored also the ceremony . . . you got rave reviews!
All the best,
Jill
Jewish Wedding - Couple’s Message
We truly can't thank you enough for everything!!! The ceremony was PERFECT! I kept looking around and listening to your amazing words/voice thinking how incredible it all was. Lee's AMAZING vows didn't hurt!!! It blows my mind that it was our first time meeting you in person because of COVID. We had a gut feeling that we would get along with you well and that you would "get" us - and that was certainly true!
OMG, a small Jewish world is right!!! That is so, so funny about Lindsey!
What a magical ceremony and amazing evening. Thank you for making it all come to life, we are over the moon!
Thank you thank you thank you,
Melanie & Lee :)
Interfaith Wedding - Email from the Brides
Cantor Stein,
First of all, thank you so much for your kind note. We’ve indeed been basking in the glow from last weekend and recuperating on our honeymoon, but wanted to let you know how grateful we are to have had you with us on the wedding day and throughout the planning process.
We are so happy we found you and can’t imagine anyone else officiating our wedding. Your beautiful words and singing made the day so special and filled with love and emotion. We especially appreciated how personal the ceremonies were and we have received so many compliments about you from our guests.
Our wedding day was better than we could have ever imagined, many thanks to you and your wonderful ideas for blending our cultures and the anecdotes you had us share. We both felt truly represented.
We could go on forever but can’t say enough how grateful we are for your support and your work. We would be thrilled to leave you an online review if you’d like.
Thanks again and much love,
Lisa and Jenna

Dear Cantor Laura,
We are endlessly grateful for the absolutely beautiful ceremony. It was everything we ever could have asked for, and more. You painted such a stunning picture of the love that we share for one another, and will continue to share. Our family and friends felt the magic that you helped cultivate under the chuppah. Thank you a million times!

Hi Cantor Stein,
We cannot thank you enough for marrying us and bringing such joy to our ceremony! I can't tell you how many people have been raving about our ceremony; telling us they truly enjoyed your charisma, of course your voice, and how beautifully you spoke about us. We felt so much happiness this past weekend, especially in that room during the ceremony.
We have LOVED working with you. Everytime we left a session with you, we were so excited for the next and honestly wanted more. We hope that we will stay in touch (hopefully we can meet for pastries) and continue to celebrate life's big moments with you! We will absolutely send you pictures once we get them! Thank you for the update on the license. We are going to put up our Ketubah this weekend!
Again, thank you so much for leading us in such a special ceremony and a special day. We are so happy to know you!
Best,
Allie & Greg
Text from the mother of a Bat Mitzvah student
The service was so great and flowed beautifully. And thank you for building a great relationship with Layla - she enjoyed your sessions so much. And you probably weren't sure what you were getting yourself into when you agreed to help a kid do a full bat mitzvah prep in 8 weeks!! It was perfect and everyone commented how great it was. I'll be sure to send you pics when we get them!

Jewish Ceremony - Couple’s Thank You Email
Cantor Stein,
When we finally began to recover yesterday (it's an ongoing process lol) and started debriefing on the night I said to Jacob, "I'm pretty sure I told the Cantor I love her." I thought about it for a second and then I added, "No regrets!!!"
Thank you for the most spectacular ceremony and start to our wedding celebration we could have ever, ever asked for. I mentioned this in the voicemail I left you, but you were the star of our cocktail hour! Everyone we spoke with wanted to know about you, and they were all raving about the ceremony, saying it was the most special one they'd ever seen. And, of course, your voice!!! We couldn't agree more.
When we first learned a year ago that neither Jacob's nor my childhood rabbi was able to marry us, we were bummed (and, surprising no one, I panicked). We didn't want a friend to officiate, but we also didn't want to be married by a stranger. We weren't sure what we'd do, but we agreed to let the planner start the search for an officiant. What a blessing that whole fiasco was, because it led us to you. We are so incredibly grateful to have had you as our guide through this entire process. From our counseling sessions to ceremony planning, we were so appreciative for your wisdom and comforted by your expertise. And everything that day was perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We loved getting to know you and we hope we'll stay in touch! Please let us know if you're ever in the city with some time to kill. And you officially have an open invite to Sushi Thursdays.
With much love and gratitude,
Ricki & Jacob

Hi Cantor Stein,
It really was an amazing day. It somehow exceeded our expectations (and they were pretty high to start!). It was a powerful and magical experience being under that chuppah. Thank you for leading a ceremony that we and all of our family and friends enjoyed to the absolute fullest. Seriously, guests were coming up to us ALL night saying it's the best ceremony they've ever been to and that you did such an amazing job!
Thanks so so much!

Jewish Wedding - Couple’s Note
Hey Cantor Laura,
We were indeed very tired and drained from our wedding weekend. But since we went to Texas for our mini-honeymoon we finally got to relax and get some good nights sleep in.
It was amazing having you as our officiant, and are so fortunate we found you in the first place. We also had many guests come up to us and let us know what a great job you did. You truly made our wedding feel more special with your kind and wise words.
Would love to keep in touch!!

Mother’s Note After an Unveiling
Hi Cantor Laura,
I can’t begin to express my gratitude for the absolutely most perfect service you led for our family. From your beautiful voice both in song and speaking to your heartfelt words. As difficult as the day was, the love shown for my daughter and meant so much to us. The luncheon was also perfect in the very way I hoped. I came home exhausted but lifted in a way I haven’t felt before. I now truly understand how sharing one’s grief with community helps soothe the soul. Thank you for all you gave to that day.
Much love,
Iris

Good Afternoon from Seattle, Cantor Stein
I cannot begin to explain how thankful we are to you for the most emotional, love filled, and absolutely in every way perfect wedding ceremony. It was even better than we could ever have dreamed. It seemed like every single guest we spoke with mentioned what a wonderful ceremony it was, and that our officiant was the best they’ve ever come across. We couldn’t agree with them more!
It was absolutely our honor that you were able to make our family one, as legally as it already was emotionally. You are a blessing, and the day truly was perfect, in very large part thanks to you.
You couldn’t get rid of us now if you tried!
Most Sincerely,
Nalda + Dan

I wanted to tell you how incredible everything was-- it was the most magical night, I've replayed it over and over in my head a hundred times! You led the most beautiful ceremony, it was better than I could have imagined. Dear Cantor Stein,
We want to thank you for so beautifully presiding over Gabrielle and Jamie's wedding ceremony on NYE. It was the most special ceremony we have ever witnessed. We are maybe a little biased, but we have had many guests who attended in person or virtually tell us the same thing. There was something magical in the air that evening and you set the tone with such a lovely ceremony that captured the special love between Gabby and Jamie.
Thank you again. Have a happy and healthy New Year!

Apologies for the long delay in replying, we were in Maine for our honeymoon and trying to not check our emails while we were away. :)
Thank you so much again for marrying us and making our wedding day absolutely perfect. From the ketubah signing to the ceremony, it was such a special day and we appreciate how much thought and love you put into what you do. Our family and friends can't stop talking about how beautiful it all was! It has also been such a pleasure and honor for us to get to know you and work with you during the ups and downs of planning our wedding – you provided so much support and guidance for us along the way.

Co-Officiated Ceremony - Couple’s Email
Dear Cantor Laura and Pastor Rebecca,
We are beyond grateful for both of you! Our families and friends were so moved by the ceremony- many guests have spoken to us about how much they appreciated the way both of our traditions were incorporated, and there were a lot of happy tears to go around. As for us, we cant imagine a more meaningful and beautiful way to start our married life together, and we can’t thank you enough for the way you both guided us through that moment. We will never forget the feeling of standing under the chuppah together, surrounded by so much love and community and will hold that moment in our hearts forever.
So much love,
Sarah & Ethan
Parents of the Bride - Thank You Email
We were so fortunate that Danielle and Justin asked you to be the officiate at their wedding. You captured their love and respect for each other perfectly. It was as if you knew them for years. You beautifully presented the rituals of the interfaith ceremony and interpreted them in your own unique way. Specifically, the English translation for the seven blessings was very powerful. You elucidated both the importance of each ritual but more importantly left each of us with an understanding of their meaning and connection to the love, commitments, and vows that Danielle and Justin made to each other.
Thank you for leaving us with such a beautiful memory,
Barry and Ronnie
Co-Officiated Ceremony - Couple’s Note
Cantor Stein & Reverend Lou-
Jessica and I cannot express in words how beautiful the service was that you both put together. It was full of love and we could not have even imagined a more touching, moving and perfect interfaith ceremony. I can’t tell you how many of the guests have reached out to us to specifically express how touching and moving the entire ceremony was.
We are beyond grateful that we got to share it with you and thank you both again for all your help. We will definitely send some pics when we start putting them all together. It’s been a crazy couple days!!
We will keep an eye out for the marriage license and also reach out after the honeymoon. It would be great to all get back together for dinner one night.
Take care and stay safe!!

Interfaith/Multilingual Wedding - Couple’s Message
Hi Cantor Stein,
My sincere apologies for our delay! I wasn't expecting to be this exhausted after the wedding -- the lack of sleep leading up to the day finally caught up with me.
We can't thank you enough for how incredible you were to work with and how special you made our ceremony. The ceremony exceeded any idea/hope/dream we had for the day and was simply perfect. Our family and friends are raving about how intimate and "us" it was, and a few of my parents' friends even said they felt they really got to know us during it. It's truly the highlight from last weekend and we couldn't be more grateful.
Would you be comfortable sharing your mailing address with us? (Home/work/other). We'd love to send you a small thank you.
Also, thank you so much for attaching the PDF of our marriage license - eeee we're married!! As soon as we get more photos from our photographer, we'll send them your way :)
We'd absolutely love to keep in touch. Hopefully we can enjoy babka together again soon!
All our best,
Naomi & Bryan
Interfaith/Multilingual Wedding - Mother of the Groom’s Note
Dear Cantor Stein,
I’m not sure I’ll find the proper words to thank you for the unique way you conducted the ceremony of Bryan and Naomi’s union in matrimony. Your unexpected mixture of the sacred and the humane approach felt as if all present were joined in a single embrace, as if Naomi’s grandfather’s tallit was wrapped around the whole congregation.
Needless to say, I was totally surprised to find out you’d spent a year in Chile and then to hear you read Neruda’s XVII love sonnet! And in both languages!
In so many ways you touched each and everyone present by using simple language and humor to explain the deep meaning of their commitment to each other and to the world as a couple.
I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to thank you personally. Then again, perhaps you were smart not to stay because you would have been mobbed. Everyone was talking about the service and wanting to talk to you about it. :)
I could say so much more, but none of it would suffice to express my gratitude.
Mil gracias,
Sylvia

Thank you, thank you for everything.

Jewish Wedding - Couple’s Message
Dear Cantor Stein,
Thank you so much, both for the kind words and beautiful ceremony! It was such an honor to work with you. I knew the ceremony would be moving but I didn’t realize how emotional and significant it would feel — not just to us but to everyone who witnessed it.
Some comments I have to share with you: One of my (Jewish) friends was crying and said that made him want to “start going to shul”. And a couple non-Jewish friends who had never been to a Jewish wedding before remarked on how meaningful it was and wanting to learn more about Judaism — one specifically mentioned us being wrapped in the Tallit together as their favorite moment. My friend Kate is engaged to a man from India and this was not only his first Jewish wedding but his first American wedding, so as they plan their hybrid ceremony it was pretty special to be the example. Everyone loved how you used humor (“dished it right back to Jeremy” was I think the phrasing). And Jeremy and I really appreciated you incorporating nature in the ceremony, it was a perfect and seamless balance of tradition and us as a couple. I’m also so glad we did the seven blessings the way we did, it was so wonderful to have them read to us by our loved ones.
Thank you so much for your guidance and patience, for putting up with us, for helping us remember how to count to three! I’m as eager for photos as you and will certainly pass them on as soon as we get the link.
With tremendous gratitude,
Rebecca

Thank you so much Cantor.
It was an incredible ceremony and we heard nonstop appreciation for how touching it was and how amazing you were from so many people including those not Jewish! Thank you for honoring our wishes and making it feel very inclusive, personal and intimate. I literally had people saying they were sobbing and it was the most special ceremony they ever went to!
We will send along some pictures when we get back from our honeymoon and do hope to stay in touch!
Thanks so much.

Dear Cantor Stein,
Thank you for making our ceremony everything we dreamed of and more! Signing the ketubah and license was one of the most meaningful parts of the day, and the ceremony was the perfect blend of spirituality, humor, and sentiment; you combined our respective cultures beautifully. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
We really enjoyed working with you over the past year, and our sessions helped us feel more prepared for this next step. Thank you for sending the copy of the license, and we look forward to staying in touch!

Jewish Wedding - Couple’s Note
Cantor Stein,
Apologies for the delayed response here, our lives have been a complete whirlwind since the big day!
Where do we even begin!? Thank you for everything over the last few months, and especially everything on our big day. You were an amazing presence to have with us along our journey and guiding us through the ceremony. Caroline and I both recall countless guests coming up to us and telling us what a lovely job you did with our ceremony. From the start, we always said we wanted a service that felt representative of us and our love for one another and what you led on that day was exactly that. Thank you for your kind words, guidance throughout the process and poise under the chuppah while other Brooklyn warehouse parties were happening around us!
We've already received our marriage certificate in the mail, so thank you for sending that along. If there's ever anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to let us know. We haven't received our photos yet, but we'll for sure pass along some of the good ones.
Best
Harrison & Caroline
P.S: So funny you ran into Melissa! We went to college together and she and her husband are some of our nearest and dearest. Such a small world :)

Dear Cantor Laura,
Our heartfelt thanks for conducting such a beautiful, heartfelt, moving, and spiritual wedding ceremony for Mara and Enrique this past weekend!
Everyone has commented about how lovely you are, what a beautiful voice you have and just how meaningful the service (and ketuba signing was.). Enrique’s parents had never been to a Jewish wedding and they were extremely moved by it. (Whew!)
Again, from the bottom of our hearts!

Interfaith Ceremony - Couple’s Message
Hi Cantor Stein!
We are still in recovery mode from the weekend but wanted to tell you how much we LOVED the ceremony. We received soooo many compliments throughout the night of not only how wonderful it was to blend the two families together with two ceremonies but how much they enjoyed listening to the Jewish ceremony. Everyone told us how much they appreciated the background of the chuppah and all of the details you shared during our ceremony as well as what a lovely voice you had.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect and you played a huge role in that. We can’t thank you enough for all of your help in getting us to this point. We are truly blessed to have found you and have also given your name and info to a few guests who are looking for a cantor to officiate their weddings next year!
We will definitely keep in touch. Hope you have a lovely week and thank you again!

Co-Officiated Wedding - Couple’s Email
Hey Cantor Stein,
Thank you so much for the kind words. We could not have been happier with how the wedding and ketubah ceremonies were carried out. The flow of the service was perfect and the words both you and Aunt Lisa spoke were so meaningful.
The seven blessings, particularly, were so beautiful; thank you so much for sharing your amazing voice with us on our special day. All of our guests could not believe you and Aunt Lisa have not worked together before, as the ceremony was so perfectly intertwined. Thank you for making our day so perfect. Even more, my father couldn't stop talking about the ketubah ceremony, it was truly a beautiful moment for us and our families.
From Jess - I want to personally thank you for working so closely with my Aunt and for making her feel so comfortable. The ceremony was such a perfect representation of who Jake and I are as a couple but also us as individuals, and we could not have had such a beautiful ceremony without you both. My family was also so touched by the Ketubah ceremony, as they had never experienced something like that before. It was such an intimate and special moment for all of us.
Thank you so much again!
With love,
Jake and Jessica

Julia’s still sleeping in (definitely recovering from this weekend!) but I just wanted to say thank you for being such an incredible officiant and presence this weekend. Working with you felt seamless and we got so many compliments already on the ceremony. For two people who don’t love being the center of attention you made it feel very natural.
Thanks for confirming the mailing of the license and we, of course, will keep in touch especially if there are any other life events for ourselves or family/friends that we can bring you in to.
Have a great week,
Adam

Echoing everything Adam said!! The ceremony was absolutely incredible, by far the best moment of the day and such an incredible experience. Cannot thank you enough for making it all possible.

Jewish Wedding - Parents of the Bride’s Note
Dear Cantor Stein,
David and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful marriage ceremony you performed for Ricki and Jacob this past weekend. We feel blessed that you officiated this milestone in their lives.
We were moved by so many things that evening: your voice, the simplicity and depth of your words, how well you seemed to know them, and how you helped inspire their beautiful vows to each other. The ceremony felt so intimate and personal. So many friends and family members in attendance shared with us how beautiful and emotional they felt, and how much they enjoyed listening to you and simply being there. (No small feat when a party awaits on the other side of the curtain!) I have been to many weddings in my 60+ years, and have never experienced anything like this one (our love for the bride and groom aside). You are a treasure.
Ricki and Jacob told us how much they loved all their meetings with you. The process was both joyous and meaningful to them. We cannot express enough our gratitude and appreciation for your contribution to such an important day for all of us.
Love and Many Thanks,
Lori and David

I can’t thank you enough for our absolutely perfect ceremony. From beginning to end. Every single person that was at our ceremony came up to me after to tell me that out of all the weddings that they have ever attended, this was by far the most beautiful, touching, memorable, and emotional ceremony. They said you were soooooo amazing! And they are not wrong. Thank you so much for making our wedding day perfect. I think Elizabeth wanted to write you an email together but I couldn’t wait lol, so expect one from my beautiful bride.
Thank you!!

Hi Cantor Stein,
So sorry for the delay in writing to you, we just got back from our honeymoon. The entire day was a whirlwind and everything happens so fast.
Thank you so so much for your lovely, heartfelt and personalized ceremony. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. You created such a warm, beautiful and meaningful ceremony that encompassed who we are as individuals and a couple and the beauty of Jewish traditions. You curated the perfect ceremony! It was everything we wanted.
Everyone has been raving to us about how they never cried so much at a ceremony before and how for those who haven’t attended a Jewish wedding it was really interesting to see and hear all the customs. We even had a few people saying they want to convert-Joe included haha.
We appreciate you so much and can’t wait to see the photos and video!!!!
Thank you for being such an important part of our wedding!
xoxo,
Elizabeth
Jewish Wedding - Couple’s Note
Dear Cantor Laura,
We hope you had an easy fast. Thank you SO much for marrying us and helping make Saturday feel like such a special day.
You made the ketubah and license signing feel like such a profound and special moment -- and then absolutely floored and cracked up the entire room during our ceremony. We really appreciate you taking the time and effort to get to know us, then making sure our ceremony felt like an accurate reflection of the two of us. You injected both gravity and delight into the ceremony. Your voice was absolutely stunning, as well. Everyone told us afterwards how special the day felt and you were absolutely a huge part of that.
It was an absolute pleasure working with you. Please let us know if there's anything we can do for you (review, testimonial, etc.) and thanks again.
All best,
Molly and Peter
