THE BAT/BAR/B MITZVAH PROCESS
Many families hold their child’s Bar/Bat/B Mitzvah service outside of a synagogue, bringing family and friends together in their backyard, favorite restaurant, or out in nature.
No matter the location, we'll come together to create a sacred space and celebrate your child becoming a Jewish adult. I’ll work with you to ensure that the style honors who you are as a family, and I’ll support your child (with my guitar too!) in leading the service.

While the service may take place in a non-traditional location, the process remains consistent. Some families hire tutors to help their children prepare for their service. I'm happy to facilitate a "warm hand-off" with your tutor and take over about a month before the service to put everything together and rehearse. In some circumstances, I also tutor B Mitzvah students.
“Working with Cantor Stein was a fantastic, memorable and wonderful experience. She made our ceremony in line with who we are as a family. She also made it easy for our guests to follow and understand. Our son had an easy, relaxed time working with her. ” - Hope S.
